Frances Fanelli, a 55-year resident of Larchmont and founder and co-owner of Fran’s Tag Sales, a Westchester county institution, died suddenly and peacefully in her home on Thursday, January 16, 2014. She was born April 11, 1927 in St. Agatha, Italy to Carmine & Anna Mavila. Fran was a long-time member of the Women’s Club of Larchmont and a parishioner of St. Augustine’s Church.

For the eighth consecutive year, members of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Larchmont journeyed to Nicaragua to undertake a building and cultural exchange trip.
Today I was almost kicked off the grounds of the Hommocks (municipal) pool in the Town of Mamaroneck because my daughter, a 3 year old, wasn’t wearing a top.
Larchmont, which prides itself as having been named a “Tree City USA” by the National Arbor Day Foundation for more than 30 years, and which even flies a Tree City flag, has totally blown it by taking down stately 50 plus year old trees.
What we need to do is to continue to expect that the equipment be removed now.
