New Rochelle Police made an unexpected discovery March 11 at the Corner Store on Main Street.
Called to investigate a dispute in the store, officers went to the basement to review a surveillance tape and there discovered a “large inventory” of stun guns, switchblade knives, pepper spray, a metal knuckle weapons display, sharpened throwing star daggers and laser pointers, according to Capt. Joseph Schaller.
The items, for sale to those who knew to ask for them, were all siezed, and Xiu Hou, 32, the female store owner, was arrested. She is charged with selling counterfeit DVDs, making false statement and criminal sales of firearms and other dangerous weapons, a felony.
