Some very important tips from our friends at One2One Bodyscapes for getting through the winter in a healthy, fit and strong way. (We are big Holiday bingers at theLoop so this speaks to us…)
GET REST: Lot’s of shopping, preparing, parties, and family time. Get as much sleep as you can. Take an afternoon or evening off from everything and relax. Don’t wait until you get sick!
HOLIDAY FOOD: This needs to to remain on the holidays. Cakes, pies, and cookies are ok for a night or two; don’t let it drag on for weeks. The next month and half go by quickly, stay on top of your game. After some binge eating, double down on some salads the next day.
WEATHER CHANGES: The cold is here. Wear winter coats, hats, and gloves. Keep your neck covered up. It’s important to keep your body protected as we move into the winter months.
IMMUNE SUPPORT: Keep your body hydrated. Continue to exercise. High carb and sugar eating, holiday stress, and weather changes all test the strength of your system. Water, healthy soups and salads, movement, and rest can keep your body strong throughout.
DONATE TO CHARITY: It’s important for everyone to remember those that are worse off than we are. Find an outlet and bring in some food, clothing, and supplies.
